contextflow helps teams turn project source material into living project documents. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how to contact us.
Information We Collect
We collect the information needed to provide the service, including:
- Account information such as your name, email address, Google account identifier, and avatar.
- Workspace, project, source, document, change log, people, and notification settings you create.
- Source material you provide or connect, including pasted text and connector content such as Discord channel transcripts.
- Technical information such as session cookies, request logs, error logs, and usage patterns.
- Billing-related information if paid plans are enabled. Payment details are handled by our payment provider, not stored directly by contextflow.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate contextflow, including to:
- Create accounts, workspaces, projects, documents, and source records.
- Generate and update project documents from source material.
- Answer questions about project documents.
- Evaluate which people should receive project updates.
- Provide support, debug issues, secure the service, and improve the product.
AI Processing
When AI features are enabled, project documents, source content, prompts, and related context may be sent to an AI provider such as OpenAI to generate project documents, answer questions, or evaluate update relevance. We use these providers to process your content on our behalf.
Connected Services
If you connect external services, contextflow may access the content and metadata needed to sync those sources. Connector secrets, such as Discord bot tokens, are encrypted before storage and are not shown again in the app.
Cookies And Sessions
We use session cookies to keep you signed in and protect authenticated app access. Google OAuth is used for sign-in during the MVP.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us run contextflow, such as hosting, database, authentication, payment, email, logging, and AI infrastructure providers. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the service and its users.
Retention And Deletion
We retain account and project data while your account or workspace is active, unless a shorter retention period is required by law or contract. You can request deletion by emailing support@getcontextflow.com.
Security
We use practical safeguards such as HTTPS, database access controls, signed sessions, and encryption for stored connector secrets. No internet service can guarantee perfect security.
